The Best Turkey Burgers EVER


Okay, I know that for some of you a turkey burger represents a more healthy substitute to a beef burger … but not as flavorful and, frankly, boring. This recipe will change that! These are astonishingly delicious! Read on …

1 1/4 pounds extra lean ground turkey breast
4 Tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
2 tablespoons prepared basil pesto
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Your choice of bread or roll (I’m partial to toasted English muffins)
Sliced ripe tomatoes

Directions

Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat*.
Mix together ground turkey breast, cooled melted butter, pesto, feta cheese, seasoned salt, lemon pepper and breadcrumbs in a bowl until evenly blended. Form into 4 patties.
Grill pesto burgers until no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes per side. Serve on bread or roll of your choice, with sliced tomatoes.
* These are also delicious pan-fried in butter or olive oil.
